Deep groove ball bearings are the most widely adopted type of rolling bearing in modern mechanical equipment. Deep groove ball bearings feature a simple structural design and convenient installation and operation, with excellent comprehensive applicability. The main bearing capacity of deep groove ball bearings is focused on radial loads. When the internal radial clearance of deep groove ball bearings is appropriately increased, the bearings will possess partial performance similar to angular contact ball bearings, enabling them to withstand combined radial and axial composite loads. In high-speed operating scenarios where thrust ball bearings cannot meet the working requirements, deep groove ball bearings can also stably bear pure axial loads.
Compared with other bearing products of the same specification and size, deep groove ball bearings have a lower friction coefficient and a higher limiting rotational speed, which is suitable for long-term high-speed operation of mechanical equipment. Nevertheless, deep groove ball bearings have certain application limitations: they lack strong impact resistance and are not applicable for heavy-load working conditions.
After deep groove ball bearings are installed on the equipment shaft, they can restrict the bidirectional axial displacement of the shaft or bearing housing within the allowable axial clearance range. This enables deep groove ball bearings to realize reliable bidirectional axial positioning for rotating parts. In addition, deep groove ball bearings own a certain degree of self-aligning performance. When the shaft has a slight inclination of 2 minutes to 10 minutes relative to the bearing housing hole, the deep groove ball bearings can still maintain normal operation, though such angular deviation will cause a certain degree of loss to the overall service life of the bearings.
